Prof Doris Mok Shui Ying and the Class of 2015 students of the Honours College (HC) recently organised an information seminar, as part of the activities for HC’s Promotion Month. Prof Mok presented detailed information about HC’s founding, key missions, admission criteria, and future courses and activities, such as overseas studies, community activities, leadership development camps, forums on current affairs, and language training. Prof Mok stressed at the information seminar that he hopes students could make full use of the opportunities and support provided by HC to realise their leadership potential and develop a strong sense of social responsibility. Nina Cortes, president of HC’s Student Association, offered helpful advice for students interested to join HC, saying that in addition to academic performance, a good resume and recommendation letter as well as presentation and interview performance are also important considerations during the HC admission process, and so applicants should highlight their strengths and leadership skills during the presentation and list in the resumes all the extracurricular activities and community services they have participated in.

Upcoming events during HC’s Promotion Month include two workshops on presentation and interview stills, to be held on 9 March (Saturday) at 3:00pm in Room JG16 and on 13 March (next Wednesday) at 4:30pm in Room JG17, respectively.
