We’ve all heard of that saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Did you also know that a banana a day keeps the blues away? From now until April, if you pass the East Asia Hall on Monday noon between 1:20pm to 2:00pm, you will have a chance to get a free banana with the word “smile” written on it, distributed by the Smile Team, one of the teams under the Leadership Enhancement & Advancement Project, or LEAP. LEAP is a project organised by the University of Macau’s Honours College, with the purpose of encouraging students to use their creativity to give back to others. Every noon the Smile Team would distribute 25 “smile bananas” in front of the East Asia Hall to promote the message that “A healthy and happy life starts with healthy and happy food”.
