Legend has it that if a student takes a photo with the Brazilian sliders in the pond on the old campus, his or her GPA will keep climbing.
Is it true or is it just another legend that reflects people’s good wishes? It doesn’t matter. The 30-odd cute turtles have always been very popular, drawing many students to take photos in front of the pond every year. With the summer holiday coming to an end, we are about to say goodbye to the old campus. But where will the turtles go?
Don’t worry. They will also move onto the new campus to live in their new “luxury” home of about 30 square metres, located in the courtyard between block 11 and block 12 in the east of the new campus. The new pond will be twice as big as the old pond, with an 85-square-metre fish pond next to it. Currently the turtles’ new home is being decorated. If everything goes according to plan, we will be able to see the turtles on the new campus in September!
