A group of faculty members and students from the University of Macau (UM) earlier participated in a volunteer teaching trip to Hainan province. They oragnised the Little Photographer Project, a new volunteer teaching programme, in Si Yuan Experimental School, where they provided disposable cameras and basic photography training for 33 children to record their everyday lives. Organised by UM’s Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College (HFPJC), the project aimed to give students from rural areas in China a chance to experience the joy of photography. The works of the students have been exhibited in Beijing and Macao. Six student photographers who participated in the programme earlier attended the exhibition in Macao and discussed their works.
