A delegation led by the Governor of Jiangsu province, Mr Wu Zhenglong, visited the University of Macau (UM) on 19 April 2018. The delegation was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song, Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) Lionel Ni, UM Registrar and Interim Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Kelvin Yuen, Director of the Institute of Chinese Medical Science Wang Yitao, Librarian Wu Jianzhong, and Interim Director of Global Affairs Office Carol Wong.
The delegation visited the UM Gallery and the university library. Rector Song told the guests about UM’s developments and key projects in recent years. The delegation then visited the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, where Director Wang Yitao shared the university’s achievements in Chinese medicine research and explained the purposes of the various lab facilities. Wu Zhenglong praised UM for its advanced teaching environment as well as its research achievements. Both parties expressed hope to strengthen collaboration in education.
