The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Macau Studies (CMS) today (18 November) kicked off an insect photo exhibition in the UM Wu Yee Sun Library. Over 80 photos and insect specimens are displayed in the library’s exhibition hall. The event aims to help the public learn more about the ecology and the diversity of insects in Macao.
The exhibition is co-organised by the CMS, Macao Entomological Society, and the Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology of Macau. The photos were taken by a member of the Macao Entomological Society, while the specimens were collected by Dr Emmet R Easton while he was teaching at UM about 30 years ago.
The exhibition will last from today until 10 December. It is open every day from 9:00am to 6:00pm. All are welcome.
