Prof Jean Chen, dean of the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), University of Macau (UM), recently participated in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Asia Pacific Annual Conference as a plenary speaker. The plenary session was titled, ‘What Makes Asia-Pacific Schools Distinct?’. Dean Chen presented alongside Prof Isa Che Ruhana, dean of the Faculty of Business and Accountancy at the prestigious University of Malaya.
During her presentation, Dean Chen gave an overview of the FBA and its key strengths. She also talked about the FBA’s unique emphasis on responsible gaming and how that had made a significant impact on local government policies and the community as a whole. Overall, the presentation, at such an esteemed conference, highlighted the FBA’s uniqueness and greatly enhanced the faculty’s international reputation.
Held in Seoul, South Korea, this year’s annual conference was attended by more than 200 deans, associate deans, department chairs, directors, and senior faculty members from business schools in the Asia Pacific region, as well as business education leaders from around the world. The conference provided an excellent platform for participants to exchange ideas in business education in the Asia-pacific region.
