The University of Macau (UM) Choi Kai Yau College recently arranged for its students to participate in a volunteer teaching trip to Shaanxi province. During the trip, the UM students learned to treasure what they have in their lives.
During the two-day volunteer activity, the UM students gave English lessons, natural sciences lessons, and Chinese geography lessons to students from a local primary school. In the English lessons, UM students taught local students English through music and dance. In the natural sciences lessons, the UM students showed primary school students photos and models of different animals. In order to teach the primary school students about Macao, the UM students also gave a lesson on the history of Macao.
After the volunteer teaching activity, UM students stayed in Xi’an and participated in an exchange activity with students from Beihang University, East China Normal University, and Xi’an Jiaotong University.
