Associate Prof Zhang Zexun from the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Education, who is the fifth-generation descendant of the folk artist Clay Figure Zhang, recently visited Portugal and participated in an exhibition for the dissemination of Chinese art and culture that originated from the ancient Silk Road. During the event, Prof Zhang exhibited 16 of her works inspired by the Silk Road and China’s Belt and Road initiative. The event was co-organised by the Confucius Institute at the University of Aveiro, the Macao Foundation, and the Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association.
