As a complement to the Master of Science in Data Science programme to be launched by the University of Macau (UM) in the 2019/2020 academic year, the university’s Centre for Continuing Education recently launched a short-term course in big data application. The first cohort of students has completed the course. The second course is expected to be launched later this year. Through the course, students will learn the fundamentals of database management and data analysis and develop problem-solving skills by studying real-life cases.
