A delegation led by Chen Xudong, party secretary of Zhongshan and chairman of the Standing Committee of Zhongshan Municipal Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, visited the University of Macau (UM), and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song and Faculty of Science and Technology Dean Xu Chengzhong. Both parties exchanged ideas on institutional collaboration, technology and innovation, and talent development. Song shared UM’s latest developments, campus facilities, academic achievements, and the four reasons that make UM so special: its location in a special administrative region, its special mission, special status, and a special model of education. Chen praised UM for its efforts in promoting the commercialisation of research results. He hopes the two cities will initiate more innovative and entrepreneurship projects in the future. The delegation also visited the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (QRCM Lab).
