Da Di Zhi Guang, an original drama produced by China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), was premiered at the University of Macau (UM) on 30 October and 31 October. Guests, professionals in the science and technology field in Macao, UM students and faculty, and alumni of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) were among the audience to watch the premiere. During the opening ceremony, Huang Luqi, vice chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology and member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said that more diverse and high-quality stories about Chinese scientists will be presented to the youth of Macao, while Huang Xiaomei, secretary of the Party Committee of the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), introduced to the audience the life story of Li Siguang, protagonist in the drama. Using a reverse narrative to recount the life of Li Siguang, the drama highlights the noble character of the Chinese science and technology workers who devoted themselves to the nation’s rejuvenation, the progress of society, and the well-being of the people. In addition to the drama, students and faculty of UM and China University of Geosciences held an exchange session to discuss their experiences and practices in encouraging engagement in science.
