As part of the University Lecture Series, the University of Macau (UM) will hold a talk titled ‘Low-Carbon Buildings in Continental Climates’ on Thursday 9 November. C. Alan Short, president of Clare Hall, Cambridge, and the professor of architecture emeritus at the University of Cambridge, will be the speaker. During the talk, he will discuss the role of sustainable buildings in the context of global warming and present advanced building technologies that have been adopted in different climate zones around the world, such as the introduction of Passive Downdraught Cooling (PDC). All are welcome to join the talk.
