The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance Annual Meeting 2023 was held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong today (4 July). Yonghua Song, rector of the University of Macau (UM), had discussions with more than 140 representatives from higher education institutions and supporting organisations in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao on the development of the Greater Bay Area as well as the development of the alliance. At the President Forum, Song chaired a discussion session on attracting professionals from all over the world. He said that the alliance should make full use of its resources and advantages to create a healthy competitive environment and assist in the strategy on developing a quality workforce, so as to contribute to the development of an international centre of technology and innovation and a national education demonstration zone in the Greater Bay Area.
