An opening ceremony for a training course in the Constitution of China and the Basic Law of Macao SAR was recently held at the University of Macau (UM). The course is jointly launched by UM’s Centre for Constitutional Law and Basic Law Studies, ten residential colleges (RC) of the university, and a local association Divulgação da Associação de Lei Básica de Macau (ADLBM). According to UM Vice Rector Mok Kai Meng, UM is dedicated to producing graduates who love China and Macao, adding that the course aims to pass the torch of safeguarding the principle of ‘One Country, Two Systems’ on to the next generation.
