The University of Macau (UM) will hold a lecture titled ‘Marine Monitoring and Forecasting Systems for the Greater Bay Area’, as part of university lecture series in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the university, on 9 November (Tuesday). Chen Dake, member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will be the speaker. Chen will discuss the latest developments in marine monitoring and forecasting systems for the Greater Bay Area.
The Greater Bay Area is at the forefront of China’s strategic development, and its environmental protection, disaster prevention, and sustainable growth depend on reliable marine monitoring and forecasting systems. During the lecture, Academician Chen will discuss recent progress in the Southern Marine Laboratory on the design and implementation of these systems.
