The University of Macau (UM) will resume face-to-face classes on Monday 25 October. The university will strictly follow the epidemic prevention guidelines of the Macao SAR government and will thoroughly disinfect the campus before classes resume.
According to the guidelines released by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, starting 25 October, staff and students of tertiary institutions are required to show proof of having received at least the first dose of the vaccine or a negative result for the COVID nucleic acid test taken within seven days before their arrival on campuses. UM will strictly enforce the guidelines: students who do not meet the above requirements will be treated as absentees; staff will be considered unreasonably absent; and post-doctoral researchers will be counted as taking personal annual leave.
Please stay tuned and follow the guidelines of the Macao SAR government.
