The University of Macau (UM) today (11) held an online lecture titled ‘Demands and Challenges of Marine Infrastructure Construction’, as part of the celebration of its 40th anniversary. The speaker was Li Huajun, a renowned expert in ocean engineering safety, a professor and vice president of the Ocean University of China, and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. During the lecture, Prof Li discussed the current status and future trends of marine engineering technology as well as the major challenges in the utilisation of marine resources. The event attracted many UM students, faculty, and members of the public.
