In view of the latest development of the epidemic in Macao and in line with the epidemic prevention guidelines of the Macao SAR government, the University of Macau (UM) will suspend all teaching activities (including in-person and online classes) from tomorrow (5 October) until 10 October. From 11 October (Monday) onwards, the university will adopt online teaching until further notice.
In addition, all staff and students are advised to strictly follow the government’s guidelines on epidemic prevention:
1. Staff and students should continue to suspend group activities and non-essential outbound trips and stop receiving incoming visitors for exchange activities on the campus.
2. Staff and students should avoid cross-border movement and stay in their usual places of residence.
3. Staff and students should monitor their health condition and take appropriate precautions, and should seek medical attention if feeing unwell and report their health condition truthfully.
4. To ensure their own health and safety, all staff and students should get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible.
