The University of Macau (UM) on Monday 12 July will hold a lecture titled ‘Is China Becoming the World’s Next Financial Superpower?’ , as part of the University Lecture Series in celebration of the 40th anniversary. Ben Shenglin, dean of the International Business School and dean of the Academy of Internet Finance, Zhejiang University, will be the keynote speaker. 

During the talk, Ben will discuss four aspects of international finance: the defining characteristics of financial superpowers, the advancement in the Chinese financial sector, financial reforms fostered by technology, and opportunities in mainland China and Macao.

The talk will begin at 4:00pm in Mr and Mrs Lau Chor Tak Lecture Theatre, Anthony Lau Building (E4-G078), UM. It will be conducted in Mandarin, with simultaneous interpretation into English.
