Wu Enhua, an emeritus professor of the University of Macau (UM), who is also a fellow of the China Computer Federation and director of the Zhuhai UM Science and Technology Research Institute, recently received a Recognition of Service Award from the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), for his contribution as the chair of the Programme Committee of the 16th ACM SIGGRAPH International Conference on Virtual-Reality Continuum and Its Applications in Industry (VRCAI 2018) and his contributions to virtual reality research over the past two decades. ACM is the world’s most authoritative academic institute in the field of computer science and information technology. It has held more than 170 international conferences on 36 different research areas. Apart from VRCAI, the other major international conference held by ACM annually is the ACM Symposium on Virtual Reality Software and Technology (VRST). Wu has served as the president, honorary president, and Programme Committee chair for the two conferences for 13 times (four times for VRST and nine times for VRCAI).
