Associate Prof. Chen Huailin from the Department of Communication of UM won the outstanding paper award for his paper published at the 2009 China Communication Forum cum the 3rd Global Communication Forum. His paper uses the “frame theory” to analyze from a unique and original perspective the attitudes of Shanghai and Guangzhou residents towards the “lip-syncing” incident at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
