Prof Haydn Chen, vice rector for student affairs at the University of Macau (UM), recently was invited to give talks on residential education at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Prof Chen attended the 2016 International Conference titled ‘Beyond the Formal Curriculum in Universities’ at HKU and a seminar on residential education at HKBU. He exchanged ideas on the subject with nearly 300 experts and scholars from around the world, and received positive feedback from the participants, with some saying they were greatly inspired by his talks.
