A team of students from the University of Macau (UM) Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS) recently won a third prize at the final of the One Million Dollar International Entrepreneurship Competition held in Guangzhou. Another two teams formed by UM students, graduates, and students from other local universities received two merit awards in the competition. The event attracted over 500 teams from five regions, namely Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao. Only 15 teams from the regional finals made it to the final and competed for prizes worth nearly three million dollars as the start-up funds.
