Prof Otto Lin, former president of the Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan and former vice president (research and development) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, will give a lecture at UM on the Collegiate Learning Day, as part of the University Lecture Series. In the lecture, titled ‘Soft Power and Business Competitiveness: From Laozi to Innovation’, Prof Lin will discuss hard power, soft power, and the importance of soft power in product design and business competitiveness, from the perspective of Laozi’s philosophy.

The talk will be held on Wednesday 24 February, at 1:00pm, in Mr and Mrs Lau Chor Tak Lecture Theatre (G078), Anthony Lau Building (E4).
