A 28-member delegation from the Youth Association of International Affairs, which is under the University of Macau (UM) Postgraduate Association, recently took a field trip to Taiwan to learn about its presidential election. Members of the delegation included undergraduates and postgraduates from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and Faculty of Law. The students visited several universities in Taiwan, including Taiwan University, Chengchi University, Sun Yat-sen University, and Chung Hsing University, where they exchanged ideas with faculty members and students on the presidential election. They also observed the candidates’ pre-election campaigns and the procedures on the election day to gain firsthand knowledge about the presidential election. The delegation was led by Prof Lin Zhimin from the Department of Government and Public Administration.
