UM student wins 1 silver, 1 bronze at inter-varsity canoe competition in mainland China

Chan Kit Fong, a second-year student from the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Social Sciences, recently won a silver medal in the men’s 200-metre individual category and a bronze medal in the men’s 500-metre individual category at an inter-varsity canoe competition in mainland China. This is the first time that Chan has participated in this event. Held in Lishui city, Zhejiang province, the competition attracted nearly 200 students from 22 universities in mainland China and Macao. The event was co-organised by the Chinese Canoeing Association, the Federation of University Sports of China, the Sports Bureau of Zhejiang Province, and the government of Lishui city.
