The University of Macau’s (UM) Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College (HFPJC) recently established an environmental education service-learning team to promote environmental education in primary and secondary schools in mainland China. The team aims to raise environmental awareness among the general public by engaging teachers and students in tree planting activities. Earlier this year, the team organised a charity bazaar and participated in a volunteer teaching activity in Chengmai County, Hainan province, where they planted 20 trees together with local teachers and students. The team plans to regularly organise more tree planting activities and environmental talks and continue to raise funds for tree planting.
