The South China Quarterly, an academic journal in humanities and social sciences published by the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Social Sciences and Centre for Macau Studies, was officially launched today (16 April) at UM.

A conference on the development trend of Chinese journals was held on the same day. Scholars and editors from over ten organisations at home and abroad attended the conference to discuss the characteristics and latest developments of academic journals in the Greater China region. UM Rector Wei Zhao and Faculty of Social Sciences Dean and Centre for Macau Studies interim Director Prof. Hao Yufan officiated at the book launch.

The quarterly publication’s academic advisory board and editorial board consist of 29 scholars from well-known universities around the world.
