Liu Qunwei, a PhD student from the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Arts and Humanities, earlier received an excellence award at an international competition in modern Chinese poetry. She is the only participant from Macao to win an award at the competition. This year the international panel of judges received over 1,000 submissions from around the world, and only 100 poems were awarded.
