The second leadership training course for civil servants, co-organised by the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau and the University of Macau (UM), began yesterday (22 February). Cheong Wing Chun, secretary for administration and justice, attended the opening ceremony as a representative of Macao SAR Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng. The course is an off-the-job training programme that aims to nurture more managerial personnel for the SAR government. The first course was successfully held in the fourth quarter of 2020. This second course will last for three months and has attracted 27 civil servants from different departments, all of whom were recommended by their departments and supervising entities for their work experience and performance.
