Many delegations led by senior government officials from mainland provinces and cities visited the University of Macau (UM) earlier this month. The delegations were led by Deng Zhonghua, deputy director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council; Guo Yonghang, party secretary of Zhuhai city; Yin Yicui, chair of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress; Zhang Taolin, vice minister of agriculture and rural affairs of the People’s Republic of China; Guo Ningning, vice governor of Fujian province; Zhu Tianshu, vice governor of Jilin province; Liu Minhua, deputy director of the Beijing Talent Affairs Bureau; and Xu Qin, governor of Hebei province. The delegations were warmly received by UM University Council Chair Lam Kam Seng, Rector Yonghua Song, Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) Lionel Ni, Vice Rector (Research) Ge Wei, and Vice Rector (Student Affairs) Billy So.
