A delegation led by Zhang Guangjun, vice governor of Guangdong province, visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by Yonghua Song, rector of UM; and Rui Martins, vice rector (global affairs) and director of UM’s State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (AMS-VLSI Lab). Zhang praised UM for its effort in training researchers and in promoting the development of the Greater Bay Area. Both parties plan to increase collaboration on academic and research activities between universities in Guangdong and Macao. During the visit, Song told the guests about UM’s latest developments, signature academic programmes, unique model of education, and future direction, adding that the university is committed to supporting the Greater Bay Area initiative by producing outstanding graduates for the area. The delegation visited the Wall of Great Wisdom and UM’s three state key labs, namely the AMS-VLSI Lab, the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, and the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City.
