UM places 3rd at ‘Return of Kings’ International Varsity Debate Contest

The University of Macau’s (UM) Mandarin Debating Team placed third at the ‘Return of Kings’ International Varsity Debate Contest, which closed on 6 June at UM’s Student Activity Centre. The four-day debating competition attracted students from eight universities. Debating teams from the University of Malaya and Tsinghua University won the first prize and the second prize respectively. The event was co-organised by UM’s Mandarin Debating Team and the Mandarin Debating Society under UM’s Students’ Union, with assistance from the Chinese Debate Association.
