The University of Macau (UM) Mandarin Debating Team recently won a second prize and a third prize in the adult category at a national speech contest. The contest is the largest and the most influential speech contest in mainland China. This year’s event attracted 39 teams from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao. The UM team was led by the Mandarin Debating Team’s head coach Yin Degang and coach Liu Jingjing.
