If you are tired of exercising on the treadmill and don’t feel safe jogging on the road, then you might be interested in this new jogging route we recently discovered.
Lantz, a staff member from the Chao Kuang Piu College (CKP College), who is also former member of Macao’s triathlon team, decided to try out this new route the other day. He started from the CKP College and headed in the direction of Building S9, then entered the tunnel via the entrance near the library, ran through the 1,570-metre tunnel, and emerged on the biking lane for another five minutes’ run, and then returned the way he came. The whole trip took about 40 minutes. “It felt good,” Lantz says. “There is no view inside the tunnel, but the upside is that you don’t have to worry about the weather not cooperating.”
Maybe like many UM members, you haven’t even walked through the tunnel, let alone run through it. But sometimes it’s okay to run before you walk, and the best thing about jogging in a tunnel is that you can literally do it every day, rain or shine.
