On 22 August the
University of Macau (UM) organised a fire drill on the new campus, with the
support of the Macao Fire Department, as part of the new campus trial use
exercise. Firefighters from the Macao
Fire Department gave a talk on fire safety in one of the residential colleges
on the new campus, after which a fire drill was carried out. Approximately 70
UM students, faculty and staff members, as well as alumni participated in the
fire drill. Participants said that the talk and the fire drill helped them to
learn more about fire safety.
