Macao’s deputies to the National People’s Congress (NPC) of the People’s Republic of China, in the company of Lau Si Io, Secretary for Transport and Public Works of Macao SAR, visited the new campus of the University of Macau (UM) on 1 August to learn more about the campus and its latest development.  The deputies noted during their visit that the new campus should play a critical role in nurturing talents for Macao and achieving Macao’s long-term goal of sustainable development.

The visiting delegation included: Lei Pui Lam, Ho Sut Heng, Paula Ling, Io Hong Meng, Kou Ho In, Iong Weng Ian, Lok Po, Chui Sai Peng, Leong Iok Wa, Ho Iat Seng, Lao Ngai Leong, Macao’s deputies to the current NPC; Lao Cheok Va, Chio Ngan Ieng, Macao’s deputies to the 11th NPC. The visit was in the company of Lau Si Io, Secretary for Transport and Public works of Macao SAR; Wong Chan Tong; Chief of Office of the Secretary for Transport and Public Works of the Macao SAR; Tse Chi Wai, Chair of the University Council of UM; and Wei Zhao, Rector of UM.
