The 15th Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) was held in Guiyang, Guizhou, China, on 26 May and 27 May. Prof. Wang Yitao, director of the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences, University of Macau (UM), and director of the QRCM Lab, was invited to serve as a member of the academic committee and coordinator of a parallel session on the modern studies of Chinese medicines and natural medicines. Apart from Prof. Wang Yitao, five other UM academic were also invited to attend the meeting and to present their research findings, which received high praise from participants and industry representatives. This was the first time UM had co-organised a parallel session of the annual meeting of CAST.
