The eighth University of Macau (UM) Mandarin Debate Contest has just ended. The contest was organised by UM’s Mandarin Debating Team, hosted by UM’s Mandarin Debate Society and co-sponsored by UM and UM’s Students’ Union. The activity aimed to help participants to improve their language competence and logical thinking skills as well as to strengthen their sense of social responsibility.
