At the HKU100 Intervarsity Fest, which was held from 17 July to 23 July, in celebration of the centenary of the University of Hong Kong (HKU), University of Macau’s (UM) sports teams, led by Dean of Students Dr. Peter Yu, won numerous prizes, including first runner-up prizes in the Men’s Soccer and Table Tennis Men’s Double categories, second runner-up prizes in the Table Tennis Women’s Double and Women’s Team Epee categories, a third runner-up prize in the Volleyball (Men) Team category, and a fourth-runner up prize in the Volleyball (Women) Team category.
A total of thirteen universities from Asia, including mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, Macao and Hong Kong, participated in the event.
The event not only provided an opportunity for UM teams to compete with athletes from other Asian universities, but also strengthened members’ sense of belonging and team spirit.
