Make your own cake

Recently, making cakes in a DIY (Do IT Yourself) fashion is becoming a trendy activity among people of various circles. They enjoy the process of making cakes themselves and they can get a lot of fun and fulfilment through the process.
Moreover, many people think that DIY cakes are also a way for them to express their love to others. "We do not only sell cakes, what we want to do is to let people make their unique products. Many people come here because they want to make something by themselves for their special ones," said Candy Wong, one of the founders of Navicake, a new workshop set up three months ago for people to engage in DIY cake making.
"There was once a customer who made a cake especially for his girlfriend's birthday. He specified that it had to be made with mango because his girlfriend loved eating mango very much. He also designed it like roses and decorated it with fresh mangos. That was the first time he made a cake by himself and surprisingly he made it very well," said Carmen Wong, a sister of Candy who is another founder of Navicake. Carmen also said that every time she saw a product created by her customers, she appreciated it very much because she could see different ideas and could feel that her customers made the cake with their hearts.
On Mother's Day, we can make a cake for our mother; for a friend's birthday, we can make a unique birthday cake for him/ her; in some special days, we can make a special cake for special occasions. When people receive it, they would not really care if the cake tastes good or not. What really counts is that they can feel our heart. Thus, they can feel our love. Relationships then will go forward. "We can see how enjoyable our customers are during the process," said the two sisters. Both Candy and Carmen have adequate experience in dessert making. They learnt about cake and dessert making by themselves eight years ago; though they encountered many failures, they kept trying until satisfaction was achieved. "The reason why we started our business is that we want to give people a place to make cakes by themselves. Besides, we want to share the fun of making cakes with our customers and let them make the cakes for their family and friends," Carmen added.
Navicake provides customers a one-stop service of cake making including venue booking, ingredients provision and packaging. Customers can make their own cake with their unique style. It is a good chance for customers to show their talent and creativity in cake making. At the same time, they can enjoy the process of fun!
