Objective

The Doctoral Degree Programme in Business Administration aims to train high-level educational researchers to be well versed in both theory and practice.

Admission Requirements

FBA admits students with master degrees or good bachelor degrees for a Ph.D. programme.  Applicants should apply ONLINE at https://www.um.edu.mo/grs/en/admissions_phd_regular.php with curriculum vitae, relevant certificates and transcript, research interest proposal and two recommendation letters/contact information of at least two referees, etc.

 

English Language Proficiency Requirement

Applicants who received their Bachelor/Master’s degree from a university where the medium of instruction was not English are required to provide any of the following as proof of English proficiency:

  • Obtained a TOEFL* score of 550 (paper-based examination) / 80 (Internet-based examination) or,
  • An IELTS* overall score of 6.0 or above with no sub-score lower than 5.5.

*Note: TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date.

Fees and Funding

Starting from the academic year of 2014/15, the Tuition Fee Scheme becomes credit-based.
All full-time Ph.D. students in the Faculty receive financial support of MOP6, 250 or MOP12, 500/month, which will be increased to MOP7, 000 or MOP14, 000/month after approval of PhD candidacy.

 

Student Housing

Postgraduate House (PGH) consists of 4 buildings (S1, S2, S3 and S4), offering more than 2,600 bed spaces mainly to UM non-local students.  All the rooms in the PGH are fully furnished, internet-connected, air-conditioned and with bathrooms, excluding personal necessities and beddings.  Please visit the following links for more information:
