Fiction fiction

Fiction fiction is a species of science fiction. A central feature of science fiction is the exploration of the possibilities that in a domain where one or more of the laws of nature that we take to obtain in the actual world do not obtain. In fiction fiction the laws that do not obtain have to do with fiction itself. But what are the laws of fiction in the actual world, the absence or violation of which allows for possibilities to be explored in fiction fiction? Examining possible members of the genre of fiction fiction may be a useful heuristic with regard to that question.
