At the Guangdong Rock Climbing Championships 2012, University of Macau’s (UM) Rock Climbing Team placed third (overall ranking) in the men’s amateur lead climbing category, sixth (overall ranking) in the speed climbing category, third (overall ranking) in the women’s amateur speed climbing category, and fifth (overall ranking) in the lead climbing category. The event attracted over 150 athletes from rock climbing clubs and universities in Guangdong province.
