University of Macau (UM) students recently won the championship at the third Inter-Tertiary Portuguese Debating Competition. Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai International Studies University, the Communication University of China, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, MPI and UM participated in the competition. UM team comprised of Huang Ting, Chen Chen and KU Hi qi won unanimous praise from the panel of judges for their excellent Portuguese speaking proficiency, logical reasoning, critical thinking, mastery of the vocabulary, choice of words and debating skills.
