The mobile phone photo contest, organised by the University of Macau (UM) Students’ Union Communication Society, is now open for submissions by all interested UM students until 20 March. The contest aims to encourage students to discover beautiful things on and off campus and increase their interest in photography.
There are no restrictions on the theme as long as the photos are original works shot with a mobile phone. Post-processing with a mobile phone or computer software is acceptable.
A panel of judges comprised of professional photographers will select one winner for the first, second and third prizes, respectively, with cash prizes of MOP 500, MOP 300 and MOP 200. The photo that gets the most “like” on Facebook will receive the “Most Popular Prize”, with a cash prize of MOP 300. All winning photos will have a chance to be exhibited at the rest area in Tai Fung Building from 3 April to 7 April.
