Willis Chu Chi Wai, a fourth-year undergraduate from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Macau (UM), won a bronze medal in the qiangshu category at the 12th World Wushu Championships held in Malaysia. In addition to the bronze medal, he also did well in the jianshu category, placing sixth. Athletes from nearly 80 countries and regions competed at the 12th World Wushu Championships.

Willis has won numerous medals at national and international levels, including gold medals at the World Junior Wushu Championships and the World Wushu Championships, as well as a silver medal at the East Asian Games. In 2012 he was awarded the Order of Merit in Sport by the Macao SAR government, in recognition of his outstanding achievements in sports.
