The University of Macau (UM) Moon Chun Memorial College
on 11 November held a sharing session titled “Macau 21 Series: Shaping Macau –
21st Century Cultural Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders”. Dr. Leung Hio Ming, vice
president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao SAR, was the guest speaker.
Dr. Leung shared invaluable insights of cultural industries and of arts and cultural development in Macao, the demand for experienced arts and cultural leaders, the challenge of finding highly qualified and experienced people, and the timeliness of today’s students preparing for the opportunities legion within the SAR.
Other guests included Prof. Ho Wai Kit, assistant professor of history in the Faculty of Social Sciences; Dr. Patricia Thompson, artistic advisor in the Office of Vice Rector (Student Affairs); and Dr. Robert Wessling, associate master of the East Asia College.
