UM’s Cantonese Debating Team wins championship at 24th Hong Kong and Macau Cantonese Debating Contest

The University of Macau’s (UM) Cantonese Debating Team recently won the championship and the best debater award at the 24^th Hong Kong and Macau Cantonese Debating Contest, after beating the rival team from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a score of 5:0. In the contest, the UM team (affirmative side) and the CUHK team (negative side) had an intense debate over the topic ‘The Individual Visit Scheme brings more benefits than disadvantages to Hong Kong and Macao”.
